Hoevel , co-founded
Poirier, Hoevel & Company in 1975. He has consulted on executive
searches, affirmative action programs, and compensation surveys for
a diversity of clients in the United States, Europe, and Latin America.
In addition, he was recognized three times in The Career Makers,
America's Top Executive Recruiters , a survey of corporations
and executive search professionals conducted for Harper & Collins
Publishers.
Mr. Hoevel was with KPMG Peat Marwick LLP as a Consultant specializing
in executive search, compensation surveys, and EEO from 1972 to
1975. From 1967 to 1972, he was with the City of Los Angeles where
he was responsible for executive recruiting, college recruiting,
Vietnam Veteran recruiting, recruitment media relations, and minority
recruitment and relations. Mr. Hoevel graduated from California
State University at Long Beach in 1967.
Mr. Hoevel has been the Secretary-Treasurer of the California
Executive Recruiters Association. He is currently a member of the
Board of Maga Link, Inc., a non-profit corporation offering training
in video technology to underprivileged but highly qualified students.
Additionally, Mr.
Hoevel is a Trustee and Board Member of the California Science
Center Foundation, the organization responsible for the recently
opened California Science Center in Los Angeles.
